Sandoval Matters

Back to School!

Well, it's a new year, with a new Principal (welcome back, JoAnn!) and a new crop of Sandovalians joining our family. I have to say that, despite the trials and tribulations of last school year, I am personally very excited and optimistic about what this year holds for our school. Those parents and teachers who stayed with us have shown their deep dedication to the Sandoval ideal of educating our children not only within the nurturing framework of Montessori, but also in two languages. Our outlook is very bright and I am jazzed to be part of such a wonderful community.

The updated Sandoval Matters site also reflects this renewed outlook. While the site right now is still a bit limited, we have big plans for more features to be rolled out as the year progresses. Some highlights of the site...

• A full-featured Google event calendar to keep you up to date with Sandoval goings-on
• A "Community News" section that will contain links to specific classroom updates, updates from JoAnn, CSC minutes and much more
• A "Faces of Sandoval" section that will focus on profiling our unique parent community, providing teacher bios, checking in on alumni of Sandoval and where they are now and providing a forum for Sandoval students to post their views/work, etc.
• A section dedicated to providing information from the support/PTA organizations and their activities and events
• Full translation into Spanish with the ability to switch between languages "on the fly" (coming soon)
